Upcoming Street Closings

Downtown Fayetteville, with over 150 events and festivals a year, is a center for community activity and an entertainment zone for events and tourism. Events such as Dogwood Festival and International Folk Festival bring hundreds of thousands of people downtown and as the number of people who come to Downtown Fayetteville increases, the need for public safety does too.

Due to the large crowds our events draw, it is in the interest of pedestrian safety to have the streets closed to vehicular traffic. We hope that the benefits from events far outweigh the inconvenience of having the streets blocked on those occasions.
