Fayetteville Technical Community College will host Diane Shaw, Special Collections Archivist at Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, and curator of their extensive Lafayette Collection of letters and artifacts for 30 years. A recognized authority on Lafayette’s life and times, Ms. Shaw has written many articles about the French hero of the American Revolution and his opposition to slavery and support of equal rights for all. Anytime am or pm – Lafayette Trail Video Clips
Apparently, our favorite Frenchman has been doing some time traveling, because he was spotted recently at some of the sites in Fayetteville that he visited on March 4 and 5, 1825, nearly 200 years ago. Some members of the Lafayette Society caught up with Lafayette to ask him about that visit and his impressions of modern-day Fayetteville. Tune in for these exclusive interviews and learn about the Lafayette Trail, which you will surely want to put on your to-do list after this coronavirus is gone and life gets back to normal!
