SUMMARY:14th Annual Field of Honor in Fayetteville\, NC
DESCRIPTION:The Cool Spring Downtown District is proud to work with the Airborne & Special Operations Museum Foundation as a partner in the 14th Annual Field of Honor. Since its inception in 2008. The North Carolina Field of Honor has been an annual tradition in the Cool Spring Downtown District. \nHundreds of flags will fly on the parade grounds of the Airborne and Special Operations Museum. Each flag comes with its own story and displays a tag identifying both the person who sponsored the flag and the flag honoree. This living display of heroism flies as a patriotic tribute to the strength and unity of our military. It serves to honor all who are currently serving\, those that have served\, and those who have made the supreme sacrifice for our nation’s freedom. \nFlags may be purchased to honor the memory of a veteran or current service member of any branch of service. To sponsor a $35 Field of Honor® Flag\, visit the Airborne & Special Operations Gift Store\, or visit online https://shop.asomf.org/field-of-honor/ \nThe 14th Annual Field of Honor will kick-off with an opening ceremony at 9am on Saturday\, September 11\, 2021\, and remain up until Sunday\, November 14\, 2021. The event is free to the public and will be located on the parade grounds of the Airborne & Special Operations Museum Foundation at 100 Bragg Blvd\, Fayetteville\, NC 28301. \nProceeds from the 2020 Field of Honor will benefit the Airborne & Special Operations Museum Foundation and the Cool Spring Downtown District. \nAbout the Cool Spring Downtown District: The Cool Spring Downtown District is a charitable nonprofit formed in 2017 to create and sustain an arts and entertainment district emanating from the Downtown core of Fayetteville\, North Carolina\, as a vibrant center of artistic\, cultural\, civic\, and commercial activity. \nAbout the Airborne & Special Operations Museum Foundation: Located in Downtown Fayetteville\, the Airborne & Special Operations Museum Foundation is part of the U.S. Army Museum System and tells the story of Army Airborne and Special Operations units from 1940 to the present day.
