The 1st FSU International Music Festival will take place on March 9-12, 2023, in the city of Fayetteville, NC. This event is sponsored by Fayetteville State University and the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County. This will be a weekend-long series of concerts and activities, where attendees will be able to enjoy concerts, offered by small ensembles throughout the day, in different venues of the city. A series of talks, master classes, and lectures will also be presented in conjunction with the concerts. The festival will feature several genres of music to include classical (chamber music), jazz, and folkloric groups. The performers on this introductory festival are originally from Colombia, Czech Republic, Mexico, Honduras, Brazil, Argentina, Cuba, South Korea, and the United States.
This event is sponsored with a grant from the Arts Council of Fayetteville & Cumberland County, with funding from the NC Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
