DESCRIPTION:The 2024 Field of Honor is brought to you by the Airborne and Special Operations Museum Foundation and the Cool Spring Downtown District. \nEach flag comes with its own story and displays a tag identifying both the person who sponsored the flag and the flag honoree. This living display of heroism flies as a patriotic tribute to the strength and unity of Americans\, and honors all who are currently serving\, those that have served\, and the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation’s security and freedom. \nAll flags will proudly be displayed on the Parade Field of the U.S. Army Airborne & Special Operations Museum from September 9th through November 11th\, 2024. \nFlags will either be shipped once the field is taken down – for a $10 additional charge – or you also have the option to donate your flags to be used for Vietnam Veteran Pinning Ceremonies. \nFlags can be purchased through August 15th\, 2024. \nThere are 500 flags available for purchase on the Parade Field\, and 38 flags available for purchase on the monument walkway path leading up to the Museum ($100). \nAdditionally\, Field of Honor photography permits are also on sale. \nTo ensure that the Field of Honor remains a place for people to pay their respects without disruption\, photography permits cost $150 per 30 minutes\, and are good for one day. The available dates are Friday\, September 27\, 2024\, and Friday\, October 4\, 2024\, noon until 4 PM. \nIf you are interested in purchasing a Field of Honor photography permit\, please email finance@asomf.org.
