DESCRIPTION:The Downtown Alliance and Cool Spring Downtown District are excited to host the Midsummer Magic: COVID Edition! \nMidsummer Magic: COVID Edition will launch at 5pm on July 31st and you will have all weekend to play the scavenger hunt (August 1st and August 2nd) in Downtown Fayetteville. \nIn order to maximize your ability to social distance and stay safe we will NOT have vendors\, performers\, a fairy door hunt or food trucks but there is still lots of fun to be had this year! \nWe will have the following activities: \n*** 3 Day Outdoor Scavenger Hunt *** \nSeveral Cool Spring Downtown District gift card prizes to be won for completing the hunt! You will NOT need to turn in a paper copy of your completed scavenger hunt.  Lookout for more details on how to play! \n*** Costume Contests with Gift Bag Prizes *** \nDress up as a fairy\, sprite\, gnome or other mythical creature and enjoy our beautiful downtown. We will have 5 categories for BEST COSTUMES in the below categories. Must upload your pictures to the event page wall DURING the event Fri-Sun to be eligible for prizes.  \n– Most Creative Family Costumes \n– Most Creative Midsummer Mask \n– Best Costume 10 & under \n– Best Costume 11-17 \n– Best Costume 18+ \n*** Chalk Art and Fairy Garden Displays *** \nSpread out on several side streets! \n– Lookout for social distanced activities and specials from our downtown businesses. \nDowntown Businesses- We know you will get creative\, if you plan to have any specials\, you are encouraged to share your information directly on the event page once launched.
