Preparing for Lafayette - Foundations
I am beyond excited to announce that registration is now open for my first "Preparing for Lafayette" lecture/workshop!
The FIRST in this series of historical lectures and sewing workshops will detail foundations and underclothing during Marquis de la Fayette's return visit to NC during the 1820s. The workshop will cover women's and men's underclothes, so gentleman don't be afraid to attend!
Participants will choose from a variety of sewing kits (that include all fabric and fastenings), enjoy a catered lunch, and work on their foundation garments along with fellow enthusiasts. I will be available throughout the sewing time to provide one-on-one help and support.
You won't want to miss this unique experience!
For more details, please visit the Preparing for Lafayette page.
(Please note: participants must be at least 12 years old to attend.)
July Lecture/Workshop - Day Wear
August Lecture/Workshop - Evening Wear
Curious about the lecture but not really interested in sewing? No problem - just register for the morning lecture and you're free to depart afterward.
Can't wait to start your Regency adventure with appropriate foundation garments? Awesome! Pick from one of the many pattern and fabric kits available to get yourself started and join other enthusiasts for 6+ hours of sewing, tutorials and support from me!
Already have patterns and fabric and just want to come along for the lecture and sewing space? I'm so happy to have you! Just register, then sign up for the "lecture only" and let me know you will still need sewing space and I'll make sure you have a table.
Have more questions? Check out the main page's Q&A or shoot me an email.
