Come join us for a fun-filled evening of sashing from the Capitol Encore Academy building to Segra Stadium in our annual event Walk Awhile. Walk Awhile is a family-friendly walk-in which men are asked to wear high-heeled shoes to show their support for victims throughout the community. Onsite registration begins in front of the Capitol Encore Academy Building at 6pm and the walk starts at 7pm during the March 4th Friday event on March 28 and will go to the steps of Segra Stadium. Registration is only $30 for walkers., Sign up early if you need to wear a pair of our heels (hurry, they go fast). It is a great way to encourage team building and support a great cause at the same time! Why is this event necessary? The number of violent assaults in our community are continually growing, and volunteer and financial resources are strained to combat the problem.
